Italian transferences – Lexicon iuris civilis 1552

Late Renaissance northalpine Lexographers like Jacob Spiegel were already taking account of the many Italian "transferences" that had entered the Latin legal language since the mos italicus period – special technical words from Italian language for food, from feudal terminology, for public law issues like 'truce' and 'leagues' or terminology from the early capitalist merchant system - "assecurare" (to insure) – the Italian was itself partially relatinized, at least by Spiegel in this rendering.
