Villa Emo is located in Fanzolo di Vedelago, in the Italian province of Treviso. Palladio was commissioned to build it in the 1550s. The new building type is characterised by its sweeping wings and the emphasis placed on the main axis by the portico, an aspect taken from temple architecture.
