The Y.M.C.A. Service for Relatives of Dangerously Wounded IMG

This image shows a woman visiting a wounded soldier in a hospital. Behind and next to the patient’s bed a doctor and a Red Cross nurse look on the scene. The picture was part of a poster published during the First World War as an advert for a visiting service set up by the YMCA. The service allowed relatives to come and see their dangerously wounded family members in hospital.
