The Moorish Proselytes of Archbishop Ximenes

This painting from 1873 by the English artist Edwin Long (1829–1891) shows the forced mass conversion of muslim citizens of Granada, watched by the then Archbishop (later Cardinal) Ximénez de Cisneros (1436–1517).
