Rundfunkreporter beim Interview 1952 IMG

The invention of the radio gave rise to a new type of journalist, the radio reporter who not only observed and took notes, but was also able to capture "sound bites" of people with the help of a recording device. The photograph shows Wolfgang Busalla (right), an employee of the Berliner Rundfunk, who interviewed a construction worker on the progress of the national reconstruction programme in February 1952.
