Guanyin (also known as Guan Yin or Kuan Yin) is worshipped as one of the most popular deities in much of East Asia. Many myths and legends tell of her power and help to those in need. The porcelain figure of Guan Yin shown here dates from the Yuan Dynasty (1279–1368) and is on display in the Beijing Municipal Museum.
