Plaque Commemorating the Introduction of the Potato in Württemberg

A plaque which was attached to the outward-facing surface of the garden wall of the Henri-Arnaud-Haus in 1899 refers to the planting of the first potato in Württemberg, which is attributed to Henri Arnaud himself. The plaque reads:"Arnaud once planted the first potatoes / here in Swabia / What a blessing he peacefully created / This felicitous hero!"
