Philippe Grenier (1865–1944)

Philippe Grenier was a French physician who at the end of the nineteenth century converted to Islam after living in Algeria and also adopted tradition Algerian dress. In 1896 he was the first Muslim deputy elected to the French National Assembly, representing Pontarlier.
