Panthéon, Paris – Aux grands hommes la patrie reconnaissante

The inscription – "Aux grands hommes la patrie reconnaissante" ("The fatherland remembers its great men") – was put on the facade of the Panthéon in Paris shortly after it was repurposed as the original national hall of fame.
