This illustration shows nutmegs, shelled and in the shell, from the Banda Islands. The original woodcut appeared in a travelogue of the Second Voyage to the East Indies undertaken by Jacob Cornelissoon van Neck (1564–1638) and Wijbrand van Warwijck (1566–1615) between 1598 and 1600.
