By & Havn's building, Nordre Toldbod, Copenhagen

The harbor building from 1868/1869 is located at the Nordre Toldbod waterfront area in Copenhagen. The area is named after the custom house (Danish: toldbod) which used to be in the area. Designed by Vilhelm Dahlerup (1836–1907) who was inspired by Italian Renaissance architecture – particularly by the Palazzo Pandolfini in Florence – the building used to house the Port Authority and nowadays accommodates the head office of the Danish organization By & Havn.
