Key of a Chamberlain at the Royal Court of Norway IMG

This Chamberlain's key was donated to the Norsk Folkemuseum in Oslo, Norway, in 1924. The key represents the office of the Chamberlain (also Grand Chamberlain or Lord Chamberlain) and visualises his authority to regulate the access to the private spaces at court and thus to the ruler of the house.
