Ausweis der Bekennenden Gemeinde

The identity card contains not only information about the parishioner, but also the declaration of membership in the Confessing Community. The Confessing Church was established with the "Barmer Theological Declaration" in 1934. It thus opposed ideologically loyal German Christians and the National Socialist claim to unlimited authority, although it was not a form of political opposition.
