Certificate of the Noble Peace Prize of 1901 awarded to Henri Dunant

Henri Dunant (1828–1910), the founder of the Red Cross movement, was awarded the first Nobel Peace Prize in 1901 together with the French pacifist Frédéric Passy (1822–1912). Since then, the prize has been awarded every year in Oslo on 10 December, the anniversary of the death of Alfred Nobel (1833–1896), who established the prize. The prize is the most important international peace prize.
