This fresco cycle painted by Ambrogio Lorenzetti (1285–1348) between 1337 and 1339 is an allegorical depiction of the good and the bad government. It is located in the Hall of Peace (or Hall of Nine) (Sala della Pace or Sala dei Nove) in the town hall of Siena. Shown here is a section of the allegory of the good government.
