Between 1725 and 1729 this Palladian style villa was built for Richard Boyle, 3rd Earl of Burlington, in the London district of Chiswick. A notable feature of Chiswick House is the very extensive garden, which was created by William Kent (ca. 1684–1748), and which is an early example of the English landscape park.
