Archangel’sk um 1670: Traditionelle Kostüme und Stadtansicht

The print series Costumes des quatre parties du monde combines representations of traditional costumes from all over the world. Besides such diverse locations as Aden and Amsterdam, the northern Russian Port of Archangelsk is also represented. It developed in the 16th and 17th century into the most important transshipment point for the Russian trade with Europe.
