Akademie der Wissenschaften in Riga

Built between 1951 and 1961, the Latvian Academy of Sciences building is exemplary of Stalinist architecture. The 108-meter, 21-story structure is the second tallest building in Latvia. A roof terrace at an elevation of 65 meters is a popular tourist attraction, offering a view over Riga's Old Town and the Daugava River.
